The Canadian Association for Rainwater Management (CANARM) is a not-for-profit national organization
of individuals, businesses, and consultants with a keen interest in the future of rainwater and stormwater management practices across Canada. The Association was established to deal with the vast array of very positive actions undertaken by entrepreneurs, homeowners, and designers, and to help consolidate and focus jurisdictional governances across Canada. CANARM is closely linked to the American Rainwater Catchment Systems Association (ARCSA), among many other related groups.
CANARM’s structure is setup to coordinate a national association while embracing regional differences in construction practices, building, plumbing and health codes, etc. The Association’s Board of Directors coordinates CANARM’s efforts nationally, while its regional governance structure is split into
five jurisdictions:
• British Columbia, Yukon and the Northwest Territories
• Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba
• Ontario and Nunavut
• Quebec
• Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island
